MP1 – Break the Routine: Sport Day

As the closing of Term 1, Primary 1 and Primary 2 students participated in “Sport Day” activity on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 at school. Students joined 3 main activities which were all about exposing responsibilities to have a healthy lifestyle.

In the beginning, both P1 and P2 students joined exercise led by Primary 6 students. They followed the movement well, from upper body part to the legs. Everyone looked enjoying that exercise. After that, the students went to Indonesia Room for joining a game. The game was shooting balls to the target. The students did the game in groups. Each group should shoot the balls into a box in 4 minutes. the group that could reach the highest score would be the winner. Surprisingly, group 4 from Primary one got the highest score. In the end of the game, all participants congratulated the winner as their respect.

At the end of “Sport Day”, students joined class discussion about healthy foods. This activity was in line with school’s program; WELLNESSDAY. In the discussion, the students were asked to share their idea and experience in having healthy menu. To confirm their knowledge, teacher showed video about food pyramid and why people need to consume healthy menu every day. The students were also asked to plan their own healthy menu.

Set of “Sport Day” activities gave many benefits for students. The exercise and game encouraged students to be active so that they could maintain their health. Class discussion about consuming healthy menu also gave good understanding to students to take care of their health. All of the activities emphasised that taking care of health was part of their own responsibility. By joining this activity, the students were expected to be more aware to their health and able to maintain their health by implementing healthy life style. ***
