FIS Outdoor Learning Program: School Visit to SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang
After having selection process through writing and interview, 30 selected students from Primary and Secondary were having a school trip to SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang accompanied by 8 selected teachers on Friday, 14 February 2025 by bus. They were very excited in joining the activity because it is a precious moment to gain more knowledge from other school.
The activity in SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang was started by the presentation from Pak Cecep, The Chief of Public Relations officers. He was explaining about the importance of being discipline which became the main value in Taruna Nusantara. He also emphasized that discipline was very crucial to strengthen our self-control to become a successful person someday.
After the presentation, the students and teachers were having a touring to observe some areas in SMA Taruna Nusantara such as the library, classrooms, laboratories, and Balairung hall which is usually used to hold ceremonial events.
From this school trip activity, both teachers and students were very grateful because in this first experience to visit other school, they could gain more valuable values which can be implemented in their daily life.They could also enjoy the cozy environment in SMA Taruna Nusantara.
Furthermore, with the inspiration, students were able to learn something new from the activity. They can recognize the importance of being discipline and they got a chance to see the implementation in a real-life condition.
Not only the students, but teachers who have joined the activity can also get the inspiration to improve their knowledge about how to design better learning activities. By doing so, they can reflect on how to improve their performance as well as being more discipline in the daily life. Furthermore, the positive vibes that they have learned can be spread into their family and broader community.
