Early Years Program: BMC Charity

Charity is part of this BMC series and the students began by exploring information about the orphanage and the nursing home they would be supporting. Through videos, storytelling, and picture books, they were introduced to the real conditions and daily situations of the people living there.

After gaining this understanding, the children were encouraged to reflect on what they had seen. Through gentle discussion, they were invited to express their thoughts and feelings, which helped nurture their empathy. They also began to talk about their willingness to donate and how their contributions could make a positive difference.

When the time came to donate, the students did so with genuine enthusiasm. They already knew who would receive the donations, and this awareness made the activity more meaningful for them. Their excitement reflected not only their generosity but also their growing sense of responsibility towards others.

With the donations collected and the data gathered, it is hoped that the support provided will truly match the needs of the orphanage and the nursing home. This experience allowed the pupils to connect their understanding with purposeful action, helping them learn the value of thoughtful giving.
