Early Year 2 – “The World Around Us” Exit Point: Occupation Day
Today, EY2 students joyfully celebrated Occupation Day as part of the Exit Point for the theme “The World Around Us.” The day featured two highlight events: the Profession Fashion Show and an interactive talk show with dr. Alexander and a nurse from Kasih Ibu Hospital.
During the Profession Fashion Show, students confidently walked the runway dressed as their dream professions such as chefs, teachers, police officers, pilots, photographer, entrepreneur, doctors, president, racers, tennis player, and fireman. Each child proudly introduced their chosen profession, explained its main duties, and shared the reason they were inspired by it. Through this activity, students developed communication skills, self-confidence, and a deeper understanding of community roles.
The excitement continued in the interactive talk show with dr. Alexander and the nurse, where children eagerly asked meaningful questions about the medical profession and had the opportunity to explore real doctor’s tools. Their curiosity and engagement showed that they are beginning to understand the importance of effort, dedication, and continuous learning in achieving their dreams.
Occupation Day became a meaningful learning experience that inspired students to dream big, stay curious, and appreciate the many professions that make the world around them thrive. ***
