Early Year 2 – Exit Point: The Adventure of the Amazing Octopus
The Ocean Treasures theme ended with the Adventure Of The Amazing Octopus performance, where EY2 students and their parents joined in a fun-filled day of learning and creativity.
The event began with a review of The Tickly Octopus story and a final rehearsal. Teachers then greeted parents and explained the day’s activities. To break the ice, parents and kids joined a game. They passed around an octopus doll while singing a theme song. When the music stopped, the holder acted out a word or phrase for others to guess!
In the next activity, students and parents worked together to create a unique Sea Story, with each pair adding a sentence based on pictures provided by the teachers.
Before the show, parents helped students prepare the costumes for the performance, and once everyone was dressed, the big show began. It was a wonderful chance for children to shine and share their hard work to their parents.
Having parents involved in the learning process strengthens the bond between families, helps parents understand their child’s progress, and allows them to support their child’s growth. We truly appreciate all the parents who came and supported the students—it made the event extra special!
