Early Year 2 – English: Exploring Our Surroundings
The EY2 students have been exploring the theme “The World Around Us.” Recently, they embarked on an exciting adventure to explore the area surrounding their school. Crossing over to the front of the school, they observed a variety of buildings and public spaces. A highlight of the trip was visiting the Manahan Shelter area, a popular culinary hub where locals gather to dine. The students also examined several nearby houses, noting similarities and differences between them and other buildings in the area.
This hands-on experience not only heightened their awareness of their surroundings but also taught them valuable lessons in public etiquette through real-world practice. Such explorations help students connect with their community, fostering a sense of responsibility and respect for shared spaces. ***
