Early Year 2 – Arts: Hospital
As part of their role in the community, EY2 students are encouraged to develop an awareness of their surroundings. They are introduced to the concept of public spaces in a fun and accessible way, learning about the importance of these places in daily life. To deepen their understanding, students were asked to observe the public spaces they pass on their way to school.
After a lively discussion about their observations, the teacher guided them in a hands-on activity where they created a model of a hospital—an essential public space connected to their experiences—using recycled boxes. This creative project not only reinforced their understanding of public spaces but also helped expand their knowledge, skills, and awareness in an engaging and meaningful way. ***
