Early Year 1 – Science: Water Dissolve Substance
EY1 had a wonderful time in science class as they continued to observe and conduct simple experiments to discover the unique characteristics of water. They previously learned about water capillarity and then proceeded to explore how water can dissolve certain substances. Students poured tea bags, coffee powder, pebbles, etc. into a cup of water and stirred it.
They were able to observe that some substances remained unchanged while others dissolved, causing changes in the color of the water and even the fragrance. Through these simple science experiments, students were stimulated to be curious and were able to confidently communicate their observations. ***
