Early Year 1 – Maths: Heavy Loads
The EY1 students learned another interesting fact about camels. They discovered that camels are often called ‘ships of the desert’. People living in the desert use camels to carry heavy loads across the desert. To make a cognitive link between the knowledge they had acquired, the students were asked to organize the loads on the camel’s back to solve the addition problem the teacher gave. This activity helps students to strengthen their mathematical skills and concentration as they stack each block. ***
