Early Year 1 – Exit point: From Parents’ Memories to Children’s Play

Exit point activity was the perfect moment for students to turn their curiosity into pure joy! The classroom transformed into a lively playground as EY1 students explored and played with old toys and traditional games. From playing Dakon and jumping over Lompat Tali to hopping through Engklek and spinning Gasing, the students were bursting with laughter, energy, and excitement.

Earlier in this theme, the students had asked their family members to share stories about the old toys and traditional games they loved when they were young. Back at school, the children proudly shared these stories with their friends and sparked curiosity. This exit point activity brought those stories to life, giving students a chance to experience so much more than just playtime.

By exploring and playing these traditional games, the students learned to take turns, cooperate with friends, and practice patience. They strengthened their fine and gross motor skills, developed creativity, and learned problem-solving skills all while having fun!

Most importantly, this experience deepened their appreciation for cultural traditions and showed them that play is not only exciting but also meaningful. The laughter, teamwork, and happy memories created during this activity will stay with them and inspire them to keep exploring, learning, and playing together. ***
