Early Year 1 – Exit Point: Dinosaur Detectives
To end the unit of learning “Detectives Dinosaur”, EY1 students were invited to experience how a natural disaster like a volcanic eruption could cause the dinosaurs extinct from the world. Students were so thrilled to simulate a real volcanic eruption by adding baking soda with some vinegar. They also found out the volcano is like an angry mountain, when it gets angry it gets hot and wants to explode. This activity helps the students to enforce their inquiry and also learn simple tips to calm down their anger through slow breathing and counting. ***
