Early Year 1 – Entry Point: Let’s Play Outside
To kick off the new learning unit ‘Let’s Play Outside’, the EY1 students were invited to explore the natural environment around the school. They were so excited to be able to feel the grass between their toes, walk in the mud, and collect and sort some natural items they found.
Pupils were also able to show their enthusiasm by playing the water transfer game and finding out how capillary action works through a simple experiment. Playing outdoors allows pupils to develop their motor skills and also increases their curiosity about the natural world. ***
