Early Year 1 – Arts: Drawing My Family
Our Early Years 1 artists brought family love to life through a creative shape-based Arts lesson!
The fun started with heart-warming chats as children counted their family members and shared their names. Before putting pencil to paper, the young artists practiced basic shapes—discovering that circles make faces, squares become bodies, and triangles turn into dresses! Armed with these simple building blocks, each child painted a vibrant, one-of-a-kind portrait of their family.
By combining foundational geometry skills with free expression, our EY1 learners boosted their fine motor control, confidence, and pride in their unique families!
