Baby Class – Motoric activity: Duck play!

As part of their Farm Animals theme, the babies enjoyed a delightful fine motor activity held outdoors on the grassy yard, under the shade. In this playful session, the babies worked together to transfer rubber duck toys from a basin filled with soapy water into mini buckets—each using their own hands to scoop and carry the ducks.

This simple yet engaging activity supported the development of fine motor skills, as the babies practiced grasping and releasing the ducks. It also enhanced hand-eye coordination through focused, purposeful movement. In addition to the physical benefits, the shared experience encouraged early communication and cooperation, helping to build confidence, curiosity, and social awareness in a nurturing group setting.

Hands-on activities like this offer meaningful opportunities for both cognitive and physical growth. By linking the task to a familiar and engaging theme like farm animals, the babies not only strengthen foundational skills but also expand their vocabulary and deepen their understanding of the world around them in a joyful, age-appropriate way. ***
