Baby Class – Manual Activity: Pebble Exploration
During the nature learning theme, the babies in the tweet level looked eager to explore the pebbles. They could feel the hard texture of the pebbles and then they were asked to transfer the pebbles into the small bucket. This exploration activity improved the manual skill of holding the pebbles well without dropping them.
The purpose of this activity was to allow the babies to develop their motor control and coordination. At the same time, they were introduced to the concept of transferring in a very simple way, i.e. moving an object from one place to another. ***
