Baby Class – Fine Motor: Transferring Water
Babies in the Boom and Genius levels engaged in a hands-on activity to develop eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills by practicing how to transfer water using a water jug and a plastic cup.
With guidance, the babies were assisted in holding the jug handle properly, ensuring they could control the pour and minimize spilling. This required them to carefully align the jug with the cup, strengthening their ability to focus and coordinate movements effectively. As they practiced, the babies also learned to grip the cup securely while maintaining balance, reinforcing their grasping skills.
This activity introduced the foundational concepts of precision and control, allowing the babies to build confidence in completing everyday tasks. By engaging in this task, they developed not only motor coordination but also problem-solving abilities, as they navigated the challenge of pouring water smoothly into the cup. The experience provided an interactive and meaningful opportunity for skill-building in a playful, supportive environment. ***
