Secondary: Immersion Program of FIS Secondary & Speak First
FIS Secondary welcomed students from Speak First Junior High School, Klaten on Oct 24, 2023. Students from both schools experienced collaborative learning in Immersion Program that enriched their competence, communication as well as critical thinking.
The Immersion Program ran at 7.30 a.m – 12 p.m. There were in total 39 students from Speak First (grade 7, 8, 9) that collaborated with FIS students as the learning buddy. In Secondary 1, students learned several subjects such as PE, Maths, and Physics. In Secondary 2, students learned PBL, English and VA. In Secondary 3, students learned VA, Biology and IT.
All the learning activities facilitated students to work actively in a team work. This Immersion Program has successfully promoted best learning experience for the students. They showed positive engagement throughout the learning process. They also enjoyed learning with their new friends. It was such a great and memorable collaborative learning. ***
