Secondary 3 – Chemistry: Recalling Displacement Reaction with True or False Games

To recall students’ knowledge about ‘Displacement Reaction’, Students played the True or False games, they created their statement and solved the problems from the other group.

First, students determined their group. Then they discussed with the group to create fact-based statements related to the displacement reaction. They also had to ensure that the statements were unambiguous. After that, each group presented the statements to the players (the other group), who had to determine whether each statement was True or False. After players had made their choices, they revealed the correct answers and the group with the highest score won the game.

Using the correct answers and explanations for each statement could ensure that players understand the underlying concepts. Students are excited about doing this game, and it turned the game into a learning opportunity. ***
