Secondary 3 – Cambridge Global Perspective: Scarce Resources
As part of the Cambridge Global Perspectives learning in Secondary 3, students participated in a special learning session focusing on conflict over resources in South China Sea (Natuna). Mr. Adhy was invited as a special lecturer to share Indonesia’s viewpoint on the South China Sea dispute.
During the session, Mr. Adhy explained Indonesia’s position as a non-claimant state, highlighting its emphasis on regional stability, international law and peaceful dialogue. Students gained valuable insights into how historical context, national interests as well as diplomacy shape a country’s perspective.
The lecture encouraged critical thinking, discussion, and deeper understanding of global issues, supporting the aims of Cambridge Global Perspectives to develop informed, reflective and internationally minded learners.
