Secondary 2 – Physics: Prove the Reflection Phenomena

Secondary 2 students learned to prove the Reflection of Light Phenomena. Glass, flashlights, mirrors, and the objects were used as the tools. They did observation by putting the glass in front of the object and directing the flashlight towards the glass. Then, the second activity, putting the mirror in front of the object, directs the flashlight towards the mirror at a slightly angled position.

The experiment result showed that:

  • The light passes through the glass and is refracted
  • The light passes through the mirror and is reflected,

This experiment activity developed students’ critical thinking and communication skills as they worked in groups. The students were so enthusiastic when doing this simple experiment. ***
