Secondary 2 – English: Creating a Book
The Secondary 2 students took on an exciting challenge — writing their own book about plural nouns. The project aimed to deepen their understanding of English grammar while helping them practice clear and purposeful writing.
In their book, the students began by defining plural nouns and explaining the different forms — both regular and irregular. They explored how plural nouns relate to countable nouns and why they do not appear in uncountable ones. The students also discussed the determiners and quantifiers commonly used with plural nouns. To complete their work, they included a section on subject–verb agreement, highlighting how plural nouns affect verb forms in sentences.
This activity encouraged students to think critically and organize their ideas carefully, knowing that they were writing for real readers. The result was an informative and well-crafted collection of grammar insights.
