Secondary 2 – Chemistry: Making an Adsorption Column
Secondary 2 turned science theory into impressive real-world action during a hands-on chemistry lab session on adsorption!
Equipped with used plastic bottles, charcoal, and various fruit peels, students took on the challenge of designing custom filtration columns. Layering their materials with precision, they poured colored water into the top of their DIY test containers and watched eagerly as clear drops filtered out from the bottom! Following their successful experiments, the young scientists analyzed their results and authored detailed scientific reports to document their findings.
By turning household waste into powerful learning tools, Secondary 2 proved that scientific concepts are all around us—building critical observation skills, environmental awareness, and real scientific inquiry!
