Toddler – Motoric: Building Strong Hands

Our Toddler explorers took a close look at everyday tools as they discovered the fascinating world of keys and door safety!

The young learners observed different sets of keys—feeling their smooth metallic textures, admiring their shiny shapes, and jingling them to compare their metallic sounds to classroom maracas! After discussing why actual door locks are for safety and not play, students discovered that turning a key takes strong fingers. To build that essential grip power, toddlers jumped into a sponge-squeezing challenge, pumping up their hand muscles and fine-tuning their motor coordination through water play!

By blending safety discussions, auditory sensory fun, and muscle-building squeeze games, our toddlers boosted their fine motor control, sensory discrimination, and practical life skills!
