Our Toddlers stepped into a sweet storybook adventure as math and storytelling collided in a fun-filled shape-sorting session!
After reviewing squares and circles, our little learners were thrilled to meet a brand-new shape: the star! Bringing The Gingerbread Man tale to life through pretend play, the toddlers used shape rings to classify and attach matching button shapes onto their gingerbread characters. Hands-on sorting brought smiles, high focus, and lively imaginative play to the classroom!
By connecting shape recognition to storytime and everyday objects like buttons, plates, and toys, our toddlers built visual discrimination, fine motor skills, and a sweet foundation for early math!
