Book Reference Time or BRT phase 2 in Primary was officially done. This activity was started from 19th to 21st February 2025, attended by all P1-P6 students. They were enthusiastically and confidently telling the stories of their books to the reading coaches.
Previously, each level had prepared the students with the Reading Stimulation. There were various activities such as role-play, retelling story, making handbook, preparing cosplay for supporting the performance, etc. These activities can become the interesting stimulation to motivate and prepare them to be more ready in BRT.
Besides that, BRT also helps the students build their confidence in communication skill and reading comprehend. The progress of the students can be seen by the way they told the stories and answered the questions from the reading coaches. They could also make a connection about the positive things of the story to their daily routines.
This program can also help the students have broader understanding about reading. Reading is not just about telling the stories of the books, but they can also explore their creativity to elaborate what they have understood to convince or persuade others to do the same good things. By doing so, the students themselves can really realize the importance of exposing reading habit in their daily life.
