Primary 5 students stepped into the shoes of real scientists to watch plant biology unfold right before their eyes!
Working in small teams, the young researchers set up green bean seeds in plastic cups with wet cotton, recording hypotheses on how their seeds would sprout. By day three, excitement peaked as the first tiny roots emerged! For a full week, students carefully measured plant growth, maintained observation journals, and discussed their findings to draw evidence-based conclusions.
By guiding seeds from sprout to plant, Grade 5 built critical thinking and data collection skills while discovering a timeless life lesson: real growth requires care, daily effort, and patience!
