P4 students have learned about explanation texts. Before diving into the material, they participated in a Zumba session to physically experience the benefits of exercise. This active start was built to help students connect with the topic. Afterward, they watched a video that explained how exercise benefits the body which directly tied into the explanation texts they were about to study. These activities were part of building prior knowledge to ensure that the students had a solid foundation to understand and explore the concept of explanation texts. The combination of physical activity and visual learning helped reinforce their knowledge and connect abstract concepts to real-life experiences.
