Primary 3: Me and My Skills

In IPC, Primary 3 students have been learning about the brain. They discussed the concepts of knowledge, skills, and understanding. As part of the learning, they also identified the skills they already have, which helped them learn more about themselves. Through this, students discovered that skills are abilities that can be practised and developed to help them excel in life.

To deepen their learning, students worked on an activity where they created an infographic about themselves. The infographic included a simple self-portrait and highlighted the skills they are really good at. Students showed great enthusiasm while working on the task, as they enjoyed sharing and explaining their strengths with their friends. This creative process allowed them to visualise their abilities in a fun and colourful way, while also practising how to communicate their ideas clearly.

The aim of the activity was to help students build both self-awareness and self-confidence. By identifying and sharing their own strengths, students learned that everyone has unique abilities to be proud of. At the same time, the activity encouraged them to appreciate the differences among their classmates, fostering respect and collaboration within the classroom.

This meaningful experience supports students’ personal growth by helping them become more reflective and confident in their own skills. It also motivates them to set personal goals for the future. Additionally, by listening to and appreciating each other’s talents, students develop stronger connections with their peers. These skills will help them become more supportive friends, effective learners, and responsible individuals in the future. ***
