Domicile has become one of the most interesting topics discussed in IPC Travel and Tourism. In this geography task, students are learning to describe geographical features and interpret maps of familiar and unfamiliar places. They also learn about their domicile, Surakarta, and some tourist destinations in other places.
To understand the material, students gathered in groups. They were provided with 4 different brochures of tourist destinations such as Way Kambas, Bromo-Ijen, Medan, and Bali. Based on the brochure, they identified the location on the map, identify the similarities and the differences with the domicile, and the transport links connected with the domicile. During the discussion, they were so excited. For transportation links, many answers came up such as air service, railway, and road. By the end, they could conclude that to understand travel and tourism students also need to learn geography. ***
