Primary 2 – Maths: Building 3D Shapes Structure

Primary 2 students were actively engaged in learning about 2D and 3D shapes. They carefully observed and studied the characteristics of each shape, looking at the number of faces, edges, and vertices. As their understanding deepened, they began to build 3D structures using toothpicks and modeling clay.

They enthusiastically created different shapes such as cubes, cuboids, cylinders, cones, and pyramids. When they were finished, each student presented them to the class, explaining the characteristics they had learned, such as the number of faces, vertices, and edges in the shape they had created. This process not only improves their understanding of 3D shapes but also develops their speaking skills and their ability to share knowledge with classmates. ***
