Learning the IPC Theme “How are you?”, P2 students had a chance to observe and reflect about their bedtime and wake up time schedule at home. They identified the time they should go to bed and wake up. The purpose of this activity is not only to learn about the bedtime and wake up time, but also to know whether the duration they sleep is suitable for students around their age or not.
The activity began by introducing the reasons they should sleep and the suitable duration for them to sleep. The students identified and took notes their bedtime and wake up time at home. Furthermore, they also had a chance to learn more how to read the clock by crafting a clock.
Through crafting the clock, the students were encouraged to know the time to sleep and wake up by themselves. After having the activities, students can gain benefit by noticing the time not only for sleeping and waking up but also doing routine at school.
Crafting the clock by themselves is designed to stimulate students’ interest and awareness in their healthy habit especially the duration of sleeping. It is expected to help students to be more aware with the time and care for themselves by sleeping. At the end, students will be able to put the knowledge into practice in every day life.
