On Wednesday, 8 October 2025, Primary 1 and EY2 students had a wonderful peer learning activity connected to the Reading Program. During this event, EY2 students shared their storybooks through cheerful songs and fun role plays. Meanwhile, Primary 1 students proudly presented their storybooks by showing creative pop-up cards they had made.
Before the day, Primary 1 students had a briefing session with their classroom teachers. They practiced how to present their stories confidently and expressively. During the activity, Primary 1 students also helped guide the younger EY2 students introducing primary room while showing responsibility. The event was filled with excitement, laughter, and mutual encouragement.
This activity became more than just a storytelling session it was a meaningful learning experience. EY2 students learned to express themselves through songs and movements, while Primary 1 students strengthened their communication and leadership skills. By interacting and sharing with each other, students-built confidence and learned the joy of appreciating others’ creativity.
Through consistent practice and opportunities like this, students continue to develop the courage to speak in front of others. They also learn empathy, cooperation, and respect for different ways of expression. Activities like this inspire our young learners to love reading, value teamwork, and grow into confident communicators who are ready to share their ideas anytime, anywhere. ***
