Primary 1 – Orientation: Welcome to Primary One

Friday, July 18th, 2025 was a special moment for Primary 1 students as they joined their very first day of school during Orientation Day. The day started with a warm and welcoming circle time, where students sat together with their teachers and took turns introducing themselves. It was a simple yet meaningful way to help everyone feel connected and included. After that, everyone sang a fun and cheerful song written by the Primary 1 teachers just for this special day. The students really enjoyed singing together.

Then, the students had school tour. They visited important places like the classroom, library, dining room, leaders’ room, and multifunction court. They were so excited to see where they would learn, eat, and play every day. After the tour, the teachers explained about school rules, like speak English, show respect towards others, play safely, keep the school clean and neat. These rules help everyone feel safe and happy at school.

To end the day, the students played a fun game called “No Bump Zone.” They were put into groups and had to choose one friend to be the team captain. The captain gave directions while the other team members wore blindfolds and tried to walk through an obstacle course without bumping into anything. It was such a fun way to learn about teamwork, listening, and helping each other.

The first day of school was full of smiles and laughter. Through fun and meaningful activities, students began building confidence, communication skills, and a sense of belonging. P1 teachers are so proud of our brave Primary 1 students. Primary 1 video can be seen by clicking the link here. ***
