Primary 1 – English: Traditional Tales Story Telling

At the end of the Traditional Tales unit, P1 students faced an exciting challenge: retelling a story to P2 and P3 students. To prepare, P1 students worked in groups to arrange jumbled sentences into the correct sequence, reconstructing the story’s plot. They also created posters to illustrate the characters and setting, adding a visual element to their storytelling.

The final steps in their preparation included practicing their storytelling skills and engaging in self-reflection. During practice, students watched videos to observe effective storytelling techniques. In the self-reflection exercise, they evaluated their group collaboration, clarity in telling the story, and whether they felt confident in their delivery.

The next day, P1 students proudly presented their storytelling to P2 and P3, applying all the skills they had developed. This activity not only nurtured their ability to plan and work in teams but also built their confidence in public speaking. Great effort, Kiddos! ***
