Explore and Express is a fascinating and engaging part of the IEYC learning journey, and our Nursery students recently experienced it in a very special way. Parents were invited into the classroom to actively join their children, highlighting this important stage in the learning process.
Together, students and parents participated in a series of joyful and meaningful activities, including memory games, costume-making, and a lively performance of “The Very Greedy Bee.” The room was filled with enthusiasm as families worked side by side, showing wonderful cooperation and connection. These hands-on experiences were carefully designed to support students’ abilities in following instructions, developing fine motor skills, and expressing themselves through music and bodily-kinesthetic movement.
The event, titled “The Rolling Bugs,” served a dual purpose: it gave parents insight into their children’s learning progress while also reinforcing students’ executive functioning skills such as focus, self-regulation, and task completion. It was a delightful and valuable opportunity for children to shine and for parents to share in their growth and development. ***
