Nursery – Science: Texture-Smooth and rough

Learning became a full-body adventure as our Nursery students embarked on an exciting, sensory-packed exploration of the world around them!

Little explorers got hands-on with nature by touching and feeling plant parts—discovering the unique textures of leaves, stems, and exposed roots. The excitement peaked during a barefoot sensory walk across an incredible variety of surfaces, including soft grass, grainy sand, tiny pebbles, smooth paper, slippery plastic, and rough sandpaper! With every step and touch, children compared sensations like rough and smooth while expanding their curiosity and sensory awareness.

Through playful foot-and-finger discovery, our youngest learners built confidence, engaged their sense of touch, and turned everyday textures into unforgettable learning moments!
