On Thursday, 25 April 2024, FIS EYP hosted a school visit from the teachers team of Nizamia Andalusia Kindergarten, Cipayung, East Jakarta. The school has just started implementing the IEYC in less than 3 years. Thus, they chose FIS as the school benchmarking.
During the visit, the three guests joined the running classes in the FIS EYP observing and interacting with the students and teachers. They were amazed at how the learning process was done in EYP and students showed enthusiasm for learning. The highlights of the session were the guests’ appreciation of how students display their inquiry as well as confidence while interacting with anyone.
Ms. Esti and EYP teachers played significant roles as escorts as well as information resources.
After the class observation, the team had a discussion session with Ms. Yuli and Ms. Kristina as the EYP leaders team. FIS’ warmth and friendliness were depicted in the discussion session. The sharing of the two schools has brought mutual benefits for each. Another appreciation was shared by the NAK teachers team that FIS is a positive as well as resourceful learning environment for anyone in it including the guests coming. ***
