EYP students had a joyful Eid Mubarak Assembly to celebrate the special day of Eid al-Fitr! Students learned about the meaning of Eid — a time of happiness, sharing, and love after the month of Ramadan. They listened to a fun story about Eid, sang some songs, and talked about the things people do during Eid, like going to the mosque, giving gifts, and enjoying sweet treats with family. The assembly ended with a cheerful greeting of “Eid Mubarak!” from everyone.
Holding an Eid Mubarak assembly for EYP students is a wonderful way to introduce them to the values of respect and diversity. Through songs, stories, and simple activities, children begin to understand the importance of respecting others’ beliefs and traditions, fostering a sense of empathy and community from a young age. It also helps the students to build a foundation for kindness, curiosity, and acceptance that can grow with them throughout their lives. ***
