Today marked the first day of school, and we kicked off the year with a heartwarming Christmas assembly for students from Toddler, Nursery, EY1, and EY2. The main goal of the event was to introduce the concept of Christmas while promoting respect and understanding for different cultures and beliefs. During the assembly, the children learned about the significance of Christmas, the traditions surrounding it, and how it is celebrated around the world.
The students enjoyed singing and dancing together to festive music and watched a performance from the Christian and Catholic students singing a Christmas song. The event also emphasized inclusivity as children from various religious backgrounds shared Christmas greetings with their friends who celebrate the holiday. This act of kindness and mutual respect fostered a sense of unity and appreciation among the students.
The assembly not only celebrated the spirit of Christmas but also encouraged the values of empathy, diversity, and friendship. It was a beautiful reminder that even in our differences, we can come together with love and understanding. The event set a positive and welcoming tone for the year ahead, reinforcing the importance of kindness and respect in our school community.
