To kick off our Reading Program in the most exciting way, our EY1 and EY2 students took part in a special socialization event designed to spark their love for books and storytelling. The session was filled with music, movement, laughter, and imagination—everything that young learners love!
A highlight of the event was a lively and engaging role play performed by the teachers. Through this performance, the children discovered just how magical reading can be—full of adventure, discovery, and fun. They learned that books can transport us to new places, teach us fascinating things, and bring joy whether we’re reading alone or with others.
The excitement continued as the children joined in singing and chanting together. Their favorite chant was: “Books are fun, books are cool, read at home, read at school!”
Their cheerful voices and bright smiles filled the room, creating a joyful and inspiring atmosphere.
This meaningful activity marked a wonderful beginning to the Reading Program in Early Years. By starting with such a fun and interactive experience, we are helping students build a strong foundation and develop a positive relationship with reading. Our goal is to nurture a lifelong love for books and help students see reading not just as a learning tool, but as a source of joy and imagination.
The students’ enthusiasm, active participation, and happy faces clearly showed that the message was well received. What a fantastic start to a reading journey that will continue both at home and in school! ***
