This week Baby Class learnt about veggies. They were previously introduced about vegetables they always see and consume. The babies in Tweet Level discovered the veggies toys planted into the edible soil made of biscuit. They were introduced to the texture of the soil, texture of the veggies toys and the colour of the veggies.
The edible soil made of biscuit was provided as the babies still need a safe media for representing the soil for the plant. In a simple way, they would discover that the veggies need a soil for living. At the same time, they experienced to touch the particular texture of the veggies and soil. While holding the toy veggies, they also learn about colours and size.
Through this activity, the babies developed early awareness of healthy habits by learning the importance of washing vegetables before consuming them. These experiences fostered their creativity, curiosity, and confidence, forming a strong foundation for future learning. Sensory exploration of textures, colours, and sizes sharpened their observational skills and helped them better understand the world around them. By relating the activity to vegetables they encounter daily, they began building awareness of the natural environment, which will benefit them in their everyday lives.
