Baby Class – Manual Activity: Transferring Pebbles

For continuing the learning theme about “nature”, the babies in Boom Level conducted am activity at the playground for transferring the pebbles from the water to the empty jar. Pebbles and water are part of nature they always see around. It was a good chance for them to explore the water and pebbles during conducting transferring activity

Pebbles were chosen as it was connected to the vocabularies introduced. It also had the hard texture and small size hence the babies could recognize the texture and it was easily grabbed. It was conducted to enhance their manual skill as they needed to grab the pebbles based on their need. Besides, eye-hand coordination was also stimulated as they had to drop the pebbles into the jar properly.

Connecting what the babies learnt in the classroom with the real experience. It allows them to build the cognitive connectivity with their brain development. It also effectively applies the meaningful play that integrates the new knowledge with everything around them.
