Secondary 1 – Biology: Animal Cell

Secondary 1 students learned about animal cells. The animal cell is an animal’s basic structural and functional unit of life. It is a eukaryotic cell with a true nucleus enclosed by a membrane and various specialized structures or organelles that perform specific tasks. As the recalling part, they drew an animal cell with its organelle and labeled it based on its name. From the activity, students see how organelles are organized within a cell. The diagrams also provide a visual representation of information, making complex ideas easier to understand by simplifying abstract concepts into a more understandable form. Besides, students tend to remember visual information more effectively. They enjoyed and engaged with the activity. They were allowed to color the cell to make it more attractive and fun for them to do. ***
