Primary 5 – Science : How Light Travel

Light is a form of energy that enables us to see. We can see things around us because light travels from the light sources and enter our eyes.

To check whether it is true that light travels in straight lines, P5 students conducted experiments.

First, they arranged holed papers and used the wall as a screen. Students shone their flashlight through the holes and observed the way light travels.

Second, they experimented with a hose by shining their flashlight on one side and checked if they could see light travels through another hole. Students shared their findings and concluded that light travels in straight lines. They had a meaningful learning experience as well as excitement in doing the activities.
