Primary 3 – English: Past Tense

P3 students learned about simple past tense. To begin with, the teacher invited the students to play ‘catch the cat’ by asking them the question, ‘What did you do in the morning?’. If the cat landed on a certain student, he/she had to answer what they did in the morning.

After playing ‘catch the Cat, the teacher invited students to play a card game. The class was divided into groups of 4 and each student got 4 cards. They had to ask the other member the past tense of the words they had. The students who could answer correctly would keep the cards.

The student with the most cards won the game. This activity was intended for the students to memorize past tense verbs in a more fun way. They participated in the game joyfully. ***
