Primary 2 – Science: Different Habitat
In Science, P2 students explored the concept of habitats, learning that different living things thrive in specific environments suited to their needs. To reinforce this idea, the students participated in a hands-on activity where they created habitat trioramas. The teacher distributed animal pictures to each student, and based on the animal they received, the students crafted a triorama representing that animal’s natural habitat. Afterward, they described the key characteristics of the habitat and listed the animals that live there.
This creative project allowed students to put their knowledge into practice in an engaging and enjoyable way, deepening their understanding of the topic. Although building the triorama presented challenges—such as following the teacher’s instructions and applying their prior knowledge—the students were excited by the process and proud of their completed work. Overall, this activity combined learning and creativity, making the exploration of habitats both educational and fun for the students. **
