Primary 1 – Science: Making Sounds
P1 students learned that humans, animals, and non-living things can make sounds. Thus, the students used their basic concept of how non-living things can make sounds to create two simple musical instruments. They made a paper plate tambourine and a button castanet. The students got a piece of paper plate to make a tambourine. Then, they added some bells to it to make sounds.
Afterward, they got the same number of buttons and a piece of concord paper to make a button castanet. They recognized that those two simple musical instruments could make two different sounds. In the end, they got their chance to decorate and play it. They enjoyed making those simple musical instruments at school.
